Wirral Classic Car Show Claremont Farm | 300+ Cars, Big Crowds & Experience Photography
The Wirral Classic Car Show at Claremont Farm delivered exactly what you’d want from an event like this.
With 300+ classic cars on display, there was a real mix on offer. British icons sat alongside European and American models, each with its own story, its own following, and its own crowd gathered around it.
And there were crowds.
It wasn’t one of those slow, wandering events. It was consistently busy, with a steady flow of visitors throughout the day. People weren’t just turning up, they were engaging — stopping, looking, talking, photographing.
From the outside, it felt like a strong event.
But it also raises an interesting question…

How Much of This Gets Carried Forward?
Events like this create a huge amount of value in a very short space of time:
- 300+ vehicles, each visually unique
- A packed venue showing clear demand
- A recognisable location in Claremont Farm
- Natural, unscripted moments you simply can’t stage
The challenge isn’t the event itself.
It’s what happens after.
Because once it’s over, the only thing that really remains is how well it was captured.
The Difference Between Taking Photos… and Capturing an Event
There’s no shortage of photos at events like this. Phones are out everywhere.
But there’s a difference between:
- Photos that exist
- And photos that are usable, consistent, and purposeful
When an event is properly covered, you don’t just get images — you get assets:
- Clean, well-composed shots of standout vehicles
- Wide images that show scale and attendance
- Natural crowd moments that reflect atmosphere
- A consistent look and feel across everything
That’s the kind of content that can be:
- Used on websites
- Reworked into social media campaigns
- Shared with press and partners
- Revisited months later without looking dated or out of place
It turns a one-day event into something that works all year.
The Quiet Issue Most People Don’t Think About
There’s also a practical side to all this.
Pulling images from social media or relying on public uploads might seem easy, but it raises questions:
- Who owns the image?
- Can it be used commercially?
- Is the quality good enough for print or web?
That uncertainty can limit how confidently organisers promote their own event.
By contrast, a well-documented event gives you clarity:
- You know what you have
- You know how you can use it
- And you’re not scrambling when it comes time to promote the next show
More Than Just Cars
There’s another layer here.
Classic car shows are, in a way, temporary. Cars move on. Collections change. Even venues evolve.
The photos taken at events like this often become:
- The thing people look back on
- The record of “how it was”
- The moment something was last seen in that form
That’s why strong, intentional photography matters more than it seems at the time.
If you’re planning an event like the Wirral Classic Car Show, it’s worth thinking beyond the day itself.
The cars, the crowds, the atmosphere… they only happen once.
What lasts is how well they’re captured and how effectively they’re used afterwards.
If you’re looking to make more of your next event and turn it into something that works long after it’s finished, feel free to get in touch.

A professional photographer will capture a mix of wide shots showing the scale of the event, detailed images of individual vehicles, candid crowd interactions, and environmental shots that showcase the venue. This balanced approach ensures you have content for social media, websites, press, and future promotions, all from a single shoot.

Working with Ben was a pleasure! Despite a long shot list and tight timeframe, Ben delivered great results. His efficiency and skill ensured that everything we needed was captured perfectly. Would highly recommend.
Ben, at Experience photography, was fantastic! I was really impressed with all aspects of his service. Excellent communication via email, easy booking at a convenient time for me, truly professional photo shoot and, most importantly, excellent photos!
Ben has been involved in developing a website for our holiday rental property in West Kirby. This has involved photography along with a marketing strategy to attract customers via Internet channels. The process of working through this has been enjoyable, and I have no hesitation in recommending Ben to anyone requiring these services

Excellent photography skills – highly recommended.
Ben has been fantastic for us, as a novice trying to follow the times & build a website for our store he’s helped me answer many a question whether they’re complicated or damn right stupid. Bens has been professional through & through and thanks to Ben’s expertise our website is now live and generating sales. Somefin Fishy Ltd would definitely recommend his help for anyone who is in need with not only the advice given for a website but the photography that is on offer also.

Helped get Shopify site live, great technical knowledge, always very responsive and on hand for support.
Ben and his assistant recently photographed our wedding. It was a fantastic experience. Super slick in organising the group photos in particular. We were worried that people would be waiting around as we have seen at previous weddings, but they had all the shots planned out and everyone knew where they were going and when they needed to be there. Ben got some amazing shots, we had some kids at the wedding and the candid shots were incredible. We got an initial set of photos back really quickly so we could share on announcements and then the full set of edited shots were amazing. Exactly as we had asked for and you could see that they really knew how to edit to get the best from shots. To top it off, Ben is a thoroughly nice chap, who ensured he made time to understand our requirements and suggested some different approaches that we hadn’t thought of. Would highly recommend them!
