While it may no longer be a Unesco certified site, the Liverpool Waterfront is still an impressive expanse and great for photography. This shot with Angel was taken early evening as we were approaching Golden Hour; the natural light is unique, though it’s worth trying to get pictures when it’s a little cloudy.
I used my trusted Canon 5d Mkii for the shot with 24-105mm lens. I’d usually consider using a 24-70mm f2.8 but the advantage of shooting in such a big space is pretty much whatever lens you use the background is going to be suitably blurred out.
I’ve worked with Angel a few times before and never failed to enjoy the shoots, and who can complain about spending time taking photos in your local city on a beautiful evening.
