Had a great session this Easter week pulling together some video work for Running Hax. As a Photographer on the Champion Business Park it’s well located for quick shoots for people needing commercial photography on the Wirral. This was a little bit different and involved lots of video work.
It was a full day, writing and editing scripts and then loading them in a timely manner into the AutoCue. I can’t reveal the client just yet, but the work was really exciting. We had some technical difficulties at first with the microphones – Rode mics need you to buy a separate lead when doing anything with the iPhone. Luckily a lot of the work was MVP to test out the lighting.
For this shoot we used a single diffused light – though there will need to be some editing to take the noise of the fan in the light out of the video. This can be done in Da Vinci Resolve using the Fairlight plugin.
The background is pretty neutral which helps to keep the viewer focussed on the person in the video. In the end we ditched the stool as it can affect posture.
We got about 40 mins of video out the end of the session which wasn’t bad going. This did include a bit of a break and a breakfast wrap in the cafe on the Champion Business Park.
If you’re on the Wirral and looking for commercial or social photography, get in touch now. We undertake all forms of digital work and would love to hear about the problem you need solving.
